Bella Ridge French Bulldogs

Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers of British Columbia Kennel Club, October 25 - 28, 2007

The French Bulldog Fanciers of Canada’s Nationals was held on October 25, 2007 in conjunction with the Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers of British Columbia’s Group Specialties and All Breed Shows (October 25 - 28, 2007).  We traveled via van over 4,800 miles round trip from Mt. Vernon, IL to Abbottsford, British Columbia, Canada.  Luckily the snow held off in the mountains (Montana and Idaho!) and we got to see some of the most beautiful country in the USA.  Trees turning magnificent shades of gold and reds with the snow capped mountains in the background served to provide breathtaking scenery.  With 4 dogs, Kate, Gabrielle, Jacob, and Frank we made the journey and experienced the “good life” of hotel living and fast food!  Needless to say, we had a wonderful time with Beverley Anderson, Timepieces French Bulldogs, and good friends Louisa and Jorge.  Frank and Kate completing their CKC championships in one weekend was well worth the trip.  Frank’s wins as Best Puppy in Show (3 times!) made the trip truly memorable.  We would like to thank Bev for her expert presentation of our dogs.  She is truly a great person and friend.  Congratulations to her 11 year old veteran Chloe who won Best Veteran and an Award of Merit at the Canadian Nationals under Judge David Strachen.  Judge Strachen had the pleasure of judging Chloe at one year of age and had given her breed over specials.  He was truly delighted to see that she was still as beautiful and sound as ever.   Congratulations to Bev and Timepieces French Bulldogs and thank you for being a part of our lives, both personally and professionally.
